The Rotary Clubs of Brampton Flower City Centennial, Parkdale-High Park, Toronto Eglinton, and Toronto Sunrise held their Annual Golf Classic on Thursday August 15, 2013 at the beautiful Royal Ontario Golf Club and raised over $12,500 for Rotary projects. There were 124 Golfers participating, along with 20 volunteers contributing to the success of this collaborative event.

This year, with the addition of the Brampton Club, the golf tournament has become a multi-club and multi-district event. 

Beneficiaries of the event were: 

  • Guyana Help the Kids – A Canadian registered charity with the goal of decreasing the neonatal and infant mortality in developing Countries and particularly in Guyana. www.guyanahelpthekids.com
  • ShelterBox Canada – Part of the Global ShelterBox network that has been responding to disasters around the world for more than eleve years. www.shelterboxcanada.org
  • The Atorkor Centre – The Atorkor Development Foundation is creating new opportunities by establishing a vocational training and employment centre for women and youth in the Volta region of Ghana and Togo, Africa. www.adfatorkor.org
  • PACT – A highly successful youth restorative justice program designed to rehabilitate young offenders and keep them out of the criminal justice system. www.pactprogram.ca
