Helen Gregor Essay Award

Set up in 1992, by distinguished club member and past District Governor, Tibor Gregor to honour his late wife Helen. Helen was a great patron of the Arts. This award is presented annually to a girl from Branksome Hall School who writes the best essay on a topic that deals with the Arts leading to greater global understanding.

Each October the school and our Club select a specific topic; the essays are written under exam conditions in November and then judged by Branksome teachers who select the best five or six essays. A committee from our Club then judges the top essays. The winner and runner-up along with the Branksome advisor(s) are invited for the presentation at one of our Club meetings in February.
