Student Travel Programs :

From time to time we sponsor young men or women to attend leadership types of programs abroad.

For example we sponsored a young lady to attend the “Leaders for Today Program in Mexico in the spring of 2004. This was a four week program that works in partnership with ‘Kids Can Free the Children”.We also sponsored a young woman to attend a Canada World Youth and World University Service of Canada Program in Honduras also in the spring of 2004. She had the opportunity to live with a family and became involved in community based volunteer work projects.

These a just a sample of programs, requests for consideration for these types of programs are reviewed by the Youth and Vocational Committee.

Ryerson University

In 2004, we assisted two Ryerson University students in their production of a film as part of their University program.

In 2004 with provide financial assistance to four Aboriginal Ryerson students in the Nursing Program. These students were part way through their program and all had planned to use their training in their home environment.
