The Service Project Center, Rotary’s new digital platform for service activities is up and running and it gives members more opportunities to manage service projects and share stories, best practices, and interests.

With the introduction of this platform, Rotary Showcase has been retired.  All Rotary and Rotaract service projects have been transferred to the Service Project Center.

The Service Project Center is faster than the old system and offers a consistent experience across devices and screen sizes. It collects more accurate project location data and provides project management access to all club officers. Users can manage projects from mobile devices and easily share project links in email and on social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn.

In the future, the platform will include a world map of projects, the ability to search for projects by language, and additional resources to help implement projects.

The Service Project Center is a significant asset in Rotary’s effort to engage participants more effectively and increase impact. Users can tell project stories more fully, demonstrating their effectiveness to potential members, partners, and donors. There are more opportunities to provide photos and details, making the project process more transparent and giving members more ways to feel pride in their results.

Rotary members and program participants are improving lives in communities around the world every day through thousands of service projects. Explore the good work that we’re doing locally and globally, and share these projects through social media

Rotary Service Project Center: A Hub for Collaboration and Growth

Rotary International unveiled an exciting upgrade for its members and the broader community—the Rotary Service Project Center (SPC). Launched on August 1, 2024, this dynamic platform replaces Rotary Showcase, offering enhanced tools and features to empower Rotary members and partners. Whether you’re looking to share your club’s impactful projects or connect with others around the world, the Service Project Center is designed to make Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self” more accessible and effective.

What is the Service Project Center?

The SPC is an online hub designed to enable Rotary members and participants to share, connect, learn, serve, and grow. It aligns with Rotary’s strategic action plan to increase impact, expand reach, and enhance participant engagement. Open to members and the general public, the SPC invites anyone to explore thousands of ongoing and completed service projects, making it a powerful tool for collaboration and visibility.
Since its launch, over 120,000 service projects from the 2023-2024 period have already been uploaded, showcasing the breadth and depth of Rotary’s global impact.

Key Features of the Service Project Center

The SPC boasts several innovative updates aimed at improving the user experience:

  1. Enhanced Accessibility: Accessible on desktops, tablets, and smartphones, SPC ensures that users can manage projects and collaborate on the go.

  2. Interactive Mapping: Projects are now displayed on an interactive map, allowing users to view initiatives geographically and discover nearby opportunities to get involved.

  3. Social Media Integration: Share projects seamlessly across social platforms, amplifying awareness and engagement.

  4. Improved Management Tools: Expanded access allows more club officers and members to manage and edit projects effectively.

  5. Rotary Campaigns Page: Discover campaigns aligned with Rotary’s mission, offering new opportunities to make a meaningful difference.

  6. Future Enhancements: Upcoming features include advanced filtering options, integration with the Grant Center, and improved data collection for better storytelling.

Getting Started

  • Who Can Access It?
Both members and non-members can view projects. Rotary and Rotaract members can post new projects by logging into My Rotary.

  • Adding a Project:
Any active member can contribute, sharing everything from proposed initiatives to completed success stories. While drafts cannot be saved, projects can be edited after posting.

  • Club Collaboration:
Clubs can copy recurring projects to save time, ensuring consistency while updating critical details like timelines and funding.

Best Practices for Success

To maximize the SPC’s potential, Rotary encourages members to:

  • Regularly add and update projects to track progress and achievements.

  • Include photos and videos, and engaging descriptions to inspire others.

  • Use unique tags for multi-club or district-wide initiatives to enhance visibility.

Why This Matters

The SPC not only simplifies project management but also strengthens connections within the Rotary network. By fostering collaboration and storytelling, it enhances Rotary’s impact on communities worldwide.
