In her October 2024 Newsletter, District 7070 Governor Virginia O'Reilly talks about her many visits to club meetings and events and also the Rotary Zone 28 & 32 Action Zone Summit. She is urging everyone to register for the big events in October: The District Rotary Foundation Walk in Newmarket, the World Polio Day LIVE broadcast at Durham College in the Rotary Global Classroom in Oshawa,  and the District conference in Alliston.  .......      .

Greetings  Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors and Earlyactors,  !!.

WOW, here it is October already and I am still able to say… I hope you’re enjoying our lovely weather!!

September has been an interesting month for DG VOR!!  A number of Club visits around the District…  including 4 Clubs hosted by Richmond Hill and the Richmond Hill Rotaract Club.  I challenged my corn shucking abilities at the Leaside Corn Roast, and participated in a 4 Club collaborative Golf Fundraiser – kudos to the Toronto Club, the Rotary Club of East York, the Eglinton Club and DG’s own Toronto East Rotary Club.

The third week was a wonderful experience spending 5 days with my Rotary family at the Rotary Action Zone 28 & 32 Summit in Toronto, bringing together Rotarians from across Canada, the northeast U.S. and Alaska.

Where DGE Niecy was officially recognized as a graduate DGE by RI President-Elect Mário César Martins de Camargo and Past RI President Holger Knaack !

A highlight of September was participating in the installation of the first D7070 Peace Pole this Rotary year at Centennial Park on September 20th.  It was an honour to be in the company of Rotary International Director Chris Etienne, Rotary International President Elect Mario Cesar Martins de Camargo, Rotary Foundation Trustee (and Past Rotary International President) Holger Knaack, Rotary Foundation Trustee Marty Helman, and Ingrid Neitsch, Past District Governor and Rotary Positive Peace Activator (in the photo on the left) . Also present was Stephen Holoday, City of Toronto Councillor.  (Editor's Note: In the photo on the right were Past District Governor Iosif Ciosa, Ingrid Neitsch, and Past District Governor Lynda Ryder  with Virginia)..

Whitby installed the second Peace Pole the next day.  So which Clubs will be next??
