And please be sure to let our District 7070 World Polio Day Chair, Jennifer Boyd at jennifer.boyd@hotmail.com what your club is doing. Here are some more ways to tell the world that Rotary is Eradicating Polio .......

World Polio Day is this October and Rotary is once again gearing up to help eradicate polio. All districts and clubs combine to make substantial progress against polio, and we need to tell the world and our local communities not only what we do, but let them know how they can be involved.

There are a lot of resources on my.rotary.org and endpolio.org to help district governors, public image chairs, polio chairs, and club presidents to share their Rotary polio stories, raise money and also raise awareness.

The easiest things to do is to build awareness. Myrotary has simple links about doing this on https://my.rotary.org/en/take-action/end-polio:

• Make it personal by posting about polio on Facebook or Twitter.

• Keep informed by following our campaign to end polio on Facebook and Twitter.

• Harness the power of the press by issuing a press release or sending a letter to the editor.

Also on that page are links to press release templates about polio that you can share with local news outlets. Please remember to localize those templates and appeal to the emotion and humanity of the story from a local angle, especially for smaller newspapers and regions.

On the End Polio Now website, you can find a resource center that’s full of tools that can help you educate, advocate, and share the news. There are photos, infographics, videos, social media, event materials, templates, banners and posters, and a link to Rotary’s brand center, as well as specific World Polio Day resources. The link to the resource center is https://www.endpolio.org/resource-center#see- -more

There are even sample social media messages that are copied in here.
