Here is Mark Maloney's November 2019 Newsletter. It is all about Rotary and The United Nations (75 years old this June 2020) and Rotary Day at the UN on November 9, 2019. Rotary played such a critical leadership role in the San Francisco Conference that formed the United Nations in 1945. Throughout World War II, Rotary published materials about the importance of forming such an organization to preserve world peace. President Mark says, "The focus on the UN in the year ahead is not only about the past; it also lights a path to our future. Alone, we cannot provide clean water for all, we cannot eliminate hunger, we cannot eradicate polio. But together with partners like the United Nations, of course we can". ........

As People of Action, we share a strong sense of purpose.
More than a century ago, we pioneered a new model of service leadership grounded in person-to-person connections. We are now into the fourth month of the 2019-20 Rotary year. Clubs are now learning about projects that qualify for a Global Grant. However, in order to participate in the Grants program, the Rotary Foundation requires that your Club must be qualified. Clubs can still become qualified by
having at least two members complete qualification training, and
submitting an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) to the District.
Please, note that the qualification requirement also applies to Clubs that are administering Global Grants still in progress, e.g. a grant project approved last year but not yet completed. Get that Memorandum of Understanding signed and back to Lars, as soon as possible.

How many members does the Club have? What is the image of your Club in the community? What projects is your Club doing at that time? Your idividual members visions are combined and voted upon, reaching consensus on a common Vision for your Club........
