As People of Action, we share a strong sense of purpose.
More than a century ago, we pioneered a new model of service leadership grounded in person-to-person connections. Today, those connections are a network that spans the globe—bridging cultural, linguistic, generational, and geographic barriers—and shares the vision of a better world. My fellow Rotarians,
As 2018-19 Trustee Chair Brenda Cressey shared, contribution results for the 2018-19 Rotary year were outstanding. Thanks to each of you for your enthusiastic support of Rotary’s priority program – the eradication of polio. In late May, we were faced with an unusual prospect of being considerably short of our $50 million goal. The cash contributions and District Designated Fund projections showed we would be approximately $5 million short of goal. You came to the rescue and together we raised $50.8 million. This achievement truly shows the willingness and dedication of all Rotarians to fulfill our promise to the children of the world. Together we will end polio.

What is your Club like in three years? Rotary Clubs, like any other organization, change over time. Change may be the result of events outside our control, but change can also be the result of activities we take. One way to have impact on where your Club is heading is to plan for the future; have a Vision and create an Action Plan to reach that Vision. For many years, District 7070 is offering interested Clubs a Visioning Program. A team of experienced Rotarians act as facilitators for your Club. The concept is that the participants, Club members, place themselves three to five years into the future and paint a picture of what their Club is like at that time. How many members does the Club have? What is the image of your Club in the community? What projects is your Club doing at that time? Your idividual members visions are combined and voted upon, reaching consensus on a common Vision for your Club........
