Trails
Youth Initiative
Trails...
is an opportunity for the youth of Toronto's inner city neighbourhoods
to experience challenging situations which build their confidence
and trust of themselves and each other.
Trails...
is also a unique year-round education about such issues as substance
abuse, sexually, problem solving, and forming values.
Trails...
is partly a camp, with adventure, trips, and games in the outdoors.
Trails...
is funded entirely through private donations. No government funding.
All
we ask of the kids is to stick with the program, donate $100 themselves,
and commit time to volunteer work.

Who
runs Trails?
Trails
staff includes camp counselors, youth workers, adventure specialists,
medical personnel, a cook, and volunteers who have a great deal
of experience with kids and dealing with the issues that kids face
today.
What
is Toronto Eglinton Rotary's Involvement?
Toronto Eglinton Rotary's commitment to Trails is:
$150,000 in Cash
$100,000 in items and materials
to build a new Central Lodge including design, construction, and
materials.
