Members of the 6 Rotary Clubs of Oshawa, Oshawa-Parkwood, Whitby, Whitby-Sunrise, Ajax and Bowmanville, together with many family members joined forces and partnered with Kids Against Hunger Canada to purchase and to pack more than 50,000 meals, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Jubilee Pavilion, in Lakeview Park, Oshawa with Kids Against Hunger Canada, it was announced today by the Ted Morrison, Past District Governor of Rotary International District 7070 and chair of the event. The six Rotary Clubs have paid for the food in addition to help from a Rotary Foundation District Grant and with an efficient assembly line of volunteers dressed in aprons, plastic gloves and hair nets, all 50,000 meals will be packed and ready to ship in short order.
