District 7070 International Women's Day 2023 was another outstanding success. The event was broadcast LIVE to the world from the Rotary Global Classroom at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario CANADA, on March 8, 2023 International Women's Day. Johanna deBoer, Chair of the IWD23 Committee welcomed the LIVE audience and those watching from all over the world. Rotary District 7070 Governor Iosif Ciosa thanked everyone for attending and stressed the importance of Women in Leadership Roles in Rotary.

Dr. Elaine Popp, Vice President of Durham College welcomed the world-wide audience to Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario and to the Rotary Global Classroom along with the founder of the Classroom Professor Lon Appleby who hosted the event at no charge to Rotary.
All four speakers told their Rotary stories and how important Rotary is in their lives and in their communities: Assistant Governor Elizabeth Compton (Past President of the Toronto Leaside Rotary Club), Rotary District Governor Nominee Designate Niecy Dillon-Tyrovolas (Past President of the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise), and Rachel Boyd (President, Rotary Club of Bowmanville), and Kaitlynn Almeida , Rotaract Club of Toronto and General Secretary of Rotaract Canada.  To see more details and get a link to the recorded broadcast........
