In her January 2025 Newsletter, District 7070 Governor Virginia O'Reilly talks about the first six months in District 7070 being truly magical as she visited clubs and heard about their tremendous service projects and she encourages everyone to keep it going - a wonderful way to attract new members. During the next 6 moths, Virginia asks us to concentrate on reaching our Magic of Millions target of $1 million to The Rotary Foundation. She also encourages us to register for the Rotary International Convention in Calgary in June and to bring our club goals to fruition to Make Magic happen in 2024-2024. . ....... .

Typically I spend the last few days of the old year attempting to remember main events of the old year. Followed by musing on possible happenings in the new year. Well not this year!
Memories easily flood in and there is no shortage of ideas for 2025!
The first 6 months of the 2024-2025 Rotary year have truly been Magical, the Magic generated by visits to Rotary Clubs and the Rotary project stories that our District 7070 Clubs have shared. Please continue to Share your Magic of Rotary stories, or start sharing if you haven’t started!! How else will our communities learn of the Magic of Rotary and all the good we do as Rotarians! Keep it going!!!

And the next 6 months… We will have fireworks exploding with our Magic of Millions! Campaign. The target is to reach $1 million in dollars and/or pledges to the Rotary Foundation by our District members, by June 30, 2025… pushing through to bragging rights in Calgary and the Rotary International Convention.
The main events for the Calgary International Convention take place from June 22nd to 25th …are you registered yet? All Rotarians should attend at least one international convention to experience the true international feeling of Rotary, and Calgary is a very accessible destination for our District.
