The Rotary Foundation requires Rotary and Rotaract Clubs that want to apply for Global and District Grants to be qualified.  Clubs are qualified when two of its members have successfully completed the two on-line quizzes connected to the training modules.  In addition, the President and President Elect of Clubs must sign and submit the MOU – Memorandum Of Understanding to the District.  The qualification is valid for one Rotary year. All documents for the 2024-25 Rotary year are posted under the Rotary Foundation tab on the District’s website, www.rotary7070.org   For any questions, please contact PDG Lars Henriksson, District Grants Sub-Committee Chair at pdglars.henriksson@gmail.com

REMEMBER: To qualify, a Club must have at least two of its members complete the qualification process.  In addition, the Club must submit an MOU to the District, signed by the President and President Elect.   Please Read more for details.............

Online Foundation and Grant Qualification Modules Posted

On February 1, 2024, the online D7070 Rotary Foundation Qualification Modules were posted on the District’s website.  The modules with related quizzes as well as the 2024-25 District Grant Application form and Club MOU can be found under the Rotary Foundation Tab.

Like last year, there are two modules,

  • Module 1 – The Rotary Foundation

  • Module 2 – Grants, Global, District & Other

There is a quiz to each module, posted on SurveyMonkey.  To  pass, members of Rotary and Rotaract Clubs must have seven correct answers to the nine questions in each quiz.  In addition, the Club President and President Elect must sign and submit the MOU – Memorandum of Understanding.

The online training is a complement/alternative to the Foundation workshop held in Oshawa, November 18, 2023.  Members who attended the full workshop have met the qualification for individuals.  Clubs that had two members attending the workshop have met that requirement.  If there was one member from a Club at the workshop, a second member must take the online training.  If a Club didn’t have any members at the workshop, at least two members must take the online training.  All Clubs must submit the MOU.

The Rotary Foundation has decided that the Club qualification is valid for one Rotary year.  Clubs are encouraged to let more than two members take the training.  It is a good way of learning more about the Foundation and how it can help Clubs do good in the world.

Deadline for District Grant Applications is May 31, 2024
