Dear District Governors, District Public Image Chairs in Zone 32, and others interested in Rotary Public Image,

Here is the monthly Public Image update for August.

  • Brand Center: New resources are always being added to the Brand Center. You can now find an event template for promoting your fundraisers, service projects, or social gatherings. No need to create something from scratch, and your flyers will automatically be brand compliant.

  • Learn about 3 Actions You Can Take Today to Impact Public Image by watching a recording of a webinar conducted in July. (Available from the Zone 28 & 32 website)

  • Tell your People of Action stories to your local community and to us! We're always looking for good stories to share across Zones 28 and 32. Contact us with your stories, and learn more on Brand Center.

  • The Learning Center has many resources for Public Image. Check out the 15-minute course called Using Rotary's Trademarks -- appropriate for all members!

  • Take advantage of the new Service Project Center. This new platform provides enhanced opportunities to manage your projects, share inspiring stories and suggestions, and connect with potential partners. With the launch of the Service Project Center, the Rotary Showcase has been retired. All Rotary and Rotaract service projects have now been seamlessly transferred to the new platform.

  •  World Polio Day is quickly approaching on 24 October! If your club hasn't started planning its World Polio Day event, now is the time to begin. You can visit the Rotary Brand Center for graphics, videos, flyers, public relations templates, and more. Resources will be added throughout September and October, so be sure to check back often. After you plan your event, don't forget to register. Last year, 10% of Rotary and Rotaract clubs registered an event for World Polio Day. Let's show the world that Rotary's commitment to polio eradication is stronger than ever by registering even more events in 2024!

Important dates:

September 9: Wow! Strategies to Increase Your Club's Impact webinar (more info on the Zone 28 & 32 website)

September 17-22: Action Zone Summit in Toronto, including a day dedicated for Public Image Chairs on Thursday, September 19 [click for more information and to register]

October 24: World Polio Day

December 15: Deadline to register for the 2025 Rotary International Convention in Calgary at a reduced rate,

Question of the month:

Q: My club/district Facebook page has been removed or is locked. What can I do?

A. From a recent Rotary International posting on Facebook:

"As many of you may already know, in recent years, Meta has suspended a number of Rotary-related Facebook and Instagram pages for violating community guidelines. To assist page admins, we have created a form that allows us to efficiently check your page’s status within Meta's Brand Rights Protection tool, something we have very recently gained access to. This form will also provide us with the needed information to best assist you. Please note that we will only contact you directly if your page has been unpublished. If you emailed us already, there is no reason to fill out this form as your pages have been addressed.

"We know how important these social media pages are to our Rotary communities worldwide and how frustrating this ongoing issue is. Thank you for your patience as we work through this together! PAGE ADMINS ONLY: Please fill out the form at https://on.rotary.org/fbissue"

Yours in Rotary,
