On Monday, April 22nd, the Rotary Clubs of East York, Toronto East, Leaside, and Agincourt came together to support and participate in an event sponsored by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) in partnership with Urban Forest Associates. Collaboratively, alongside over 120 TDSB (Toronto District School Board) students, we planted 1400 native trees and shrubs on City grounds surrounding the newly constructed offices of OSSTF, situated on the edge of the Don Valley Ravine.

This event served as an enriching educational experience for the students, many of whom engaged in planting for the very first time. A heartfelt acknowledgment is owed to Urban Forest Associates for their essential contributions, providing plants, tools, equipment, and expertise, ensuring the event's smooth execution.

The Rotary Club of East York takes great pride in the realization of this event.  Gratitude is extended to all involved—the Rotary clubs, students, volunteers, and Urban Forest Associates—for their unwavering commitment to fostering a greener future. Congratulations to all on a job well done!
