To the Rotary family in District 7070:

I know there's constant information and news coming out of Ukraine, and it can be exhausting and frustrating. However, I am writing today to give you a bit of hopeful news.

Although this crisis is far from over, and millions of people are in need of support, you are making a difference.

ShelterBox teams are hard at work in Eastern Europe, delivering aid and supplies to people most affected by this crisis. This is only possible because of our amazing supporters. Right now, teams are in the process of working on three different projects: .....

Providing support to people who have fled their homes, but remain in Ukraine in collective centres like schools and sports arenas. ShelterBox is providing these people with mattresses that will help them sleep and stay warm at night.

People who have remained in damaged buildings in Ukraine and are in need of supplies that will help them survive. ShelterBox is providing shelter kits with tools and rope, hygiene kits, solar lights, and water filters and buckets.

Finally, ShelterBox will be supporting refugees who have fled to neighbouring countries, like Moldova, with high priority items that are easy to carry such as hygiene kits and warm winter coats.

YOU CAN MAKE AN EVEN BIGGER DIFFERENCE

START A FUNDRAISER:

Many Rotary Clubs have already started fundraisers to support ShelterBox's response in Ukraine. Thank you so much if yours in one of them!

By starting a fundraiser today, you'll be raising vital funds for families in need of shelter and assistance. When you share your fundraiser with family, friends, and colleagues, you'll give them the ability to make a difference. I have heard many people say they 'don't know how to help Ukraine'. By sharing your fundraiser, you are giving people a chance to support families affected by this crisis in a meaningful way.

Getting started is easy - simply set up a fundraising page and ask your network for support. Or you can get creative and sell art, or cookies, or even make a wacky incentive if you reach a certain dollar goal! It's up to you, but we are here to support you through every step!
