Welcome to the Special Edition Year-End Celebration Edition of the 2025-26 District 7070 Newsletter.
The 2025-26 Awards Presentations and the District Governor Changeover Ceremony were held on June 25, 2026, at the Viva Whitby Shores Retirement Community in Whitby.. 80 Rotarians and Rotaractors, and lots of friends of Rotary from all over the District attended the event. Here are just some of the highlights....
In this Newsletter, we are going to feature the Rotary, Rotaract and Interact Awards Presentations , the District Governor Changeover, a year-end message from Past District Governor Niecy Dillon-Tyrovolas and add some photos of Niecy during her year as District Governor, and closing remarks by our new District Governor Liz Compton.
Editor's Note: Congratulations to Past District Governor Nicey (Chief) for an outstanding year as District Governor. Niecy has encouraged and challenged us to "Unite For Good" in our clubs and in our communities, locally and globally. A job well done. Congratulations to our 2026-27 District Liz Compton, who will encourage all of us to tell the world how we will “Create Lasting Impact” as we venture out and Do Good In The World.
