The 11 Rotary Clubs in Durham Region (and the Rotary Club of Port Hope ), on behalf of your co-hosts, the Rotary Clubs of Oshawa and Oshawa-Parkwood and Durham College invite the world to District 7070's World Polio Day 2022 - Live from The Rotary Global Classroom at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario Canada on October 20 (light lunch from 6 to 7 pm and then the LIVE BROADCAST from 7:00 to 8:30 pm (Toronto Time).  The event, LIVE from The Rotary Global Classroom featured a panel discussion featuring Dr Bob Scott,(Past Rotary International Vice-President  and Immediate Past Chair of the Rotary International Polio Plus Committee ), Incoming Rotary International President Gordon McInally, Valarie Wafer (Immediate Past Vice President of Rotary International) , and Dr. Tunji Funsho, Immediate Past Chair of Nigeria's Polio Plus Committee. We will also heard from Jennifer Jones, incoming Rotary International President as well. Together, they updated all of us about Rotary's efforts with our Global Polio Eradication initiative Partners and our challenge, going forward to End Polio Now.........

IN-PERSON LIVE: From 6 to 7 PM: Cash bar and  a light lunch was served. $10 - was donated to The Rotary Foundation's Polio Eradication Initiative and will credited to your next Paul Harris Fellow of each attendee.) Spouses, guests and prospective members were invited. We saw the live 2022 Rotary International World Polio Day video and District 7070 broadcasted our event live to Rotary Clubs and to Universities and colleges worldwide.  Proclamations from Cities in Durham Region and also from Durham Region to our 11 Rotary clubs. Rotary International leaders from around the world updated Rotary's efforts to End Polio Now and they participated in a panel discussion. What can we do to eradicate polio from the planet - Rotary's promise to the children of the world in 1988. 

October 24, 2022 will be proclaimed as World Polio Day in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada and in the Regional Municipality of Durham
