Welcome to District 7070’s Rotary Foundation Grant information for the 2026-27 Rotary year.

Every Rotary and Rotaract Club that wants to participate in the Rotary Foundation’s grants program (Global and District Grants) must be qualified.  This is a requirement by
the Rotary Foundation.  The qualification training is provided by the Districts.  The qualification is yearly.

To become qualified, a Club in District 7070 must

  • have at least two of its members complete the District training (trained members), and
  • Club President and President Elect must sign and submit an MOU - Memorandum of Understanding – to the District.

District 7070 is offering two ways for Clubs to meet the two-member training requirement,  85 Rotarians attended the Foundation Workshop in Oshawa on Saturday,
November 15, 2025.  Those who stayed throughout the workshop are registered as trained members required for the qualification. These Rotarians are listed under the Grant tab for 2026-27 in the Member Area of www.rotary7070.org

Rotarians, who didn’t attend the November workshop, can instead take the two on-line training modules and related quizzes.  The modules for the 2026-27 Rotary year will be posted on this website by March 1, 2026. Links to the two modules as well as the two quizzes will appear here in the left-hand column.  Once Rotarians and Rotaractors have successfully completed the on-line training, they will be registered as ‘Trained members’ similar to those attending the November 15 workshop.

There is also in the left-hand column a link to the 2026-27 MOU, which can be downloaded, signed as requested and then submitted to the District.
Qualified Clubs are displayed on the under the Grant tab in the Member Area of the District’s website www.rotary7070.org.

District Grant applications are now done on-line.

New for the 2026-27 Rotary year is that District Grant applications are done on-line by visiting the Member Area on the District’s website, www.rotary7070.org

Go to Grant Tab in the top banner. Once there, find Submit a Grant Request.

Only qualified Clubs will have access to the application process.

The deadline for submitting District Grant Applications for the 2026-27 Rotary year is May 31, 2026.

Once a District Grant project is completed, the Applying Club must submit a Final Report.

Global Grant applications, please go to the Grant Center at www.rotary.org

International and Host Partners must be qualified.  In the lefthand column on this page, there is a link to the DDF Request form.  A completed DDF Request form must be submitted to the District, if you want any DDF for your Global Grant project.

We are still facing lower donations to the Annual Fund during the COVID years. As a result, D7070 will receive limited DDF for the 2026-27 Rotary year, which may result in
difficult DDF allocation decisions for the District. We want to share DDF among as many worthy causes as possible.
