ANN SCOTT - ROTARY CLUB OF COBOURG

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ann on July 20, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on December 23, 1935, in Glasgow, Scotland, Ann was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Nan Glaister. She spent her childhood in the beautiful village of Golspie, Scotland, a place she always remembered with great affection. Ann was the devoted wife of Robert Stewart Scott and a loving mother to Susan (Glenn), Fiona (Ewen), Stewart (Maria), and Lynne (Kevin). She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and a treasured great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous joy. She is survived by her brother Robert and was predeceased by her brother Joseph. Ann graduated from Dunfermline College of Physical Education (Aberdeen, 1957). Ann lived a life dedicated to helping others. Alongside her husband, Bob, she travelled extensively throughout the world to support The Rotary Foundation's polio eradication initiatives.
Ann will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and enduring love will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. There was a celebration of life on Monday July 27th at MacCoubrey Funeral Home (30 King St E, Cobourg, ON K9A1K7).In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann's memory may be made to The Rotary Foundation (Canada) and/or Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre.
