All Rotarians that have responsibility for vulnerable persons should undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check for working with persons who, because of their age, a disability, or other circumstance, whether temporary or permanent are (a) in a position of dependence on others or (b) are otherwise at a greater risk than the general population of being harmed by persons (s) in a position of authority or trust to them. If any of our Rotarians volunteer work includes that responsibility, you will need a Vulnerable Sector screening check. For 50% of our clubs in local communities. These checks are available through your local police force or OPP offices for a nominal fee, and should be kept on file by the club.
For our Toronto area clubs, District 7070 is registered with the Toronto Police Services and these checks can now be done on-line for a nominal fee. All you need is two pieces of government issued identification one of which one must include your photograph and signature and one must include your full name and date of birth. Visit the link below:
